Orange Sponge Cake
3 eggs
80 grams sugar
10 grams SP Emulsifier
40 grams milk
40 grams orange juice
1/2 tsp orange extract
80 grams Planta margarine
100 grams sifted cake flour
1 tsp baking powder
Orange Sauce
300 grams water
70 grams orange juice
110 grams sugar
25 grams cornflour
Orange food colouring
Instructions
Beat eggs, granulated sugar and emulsifier (SP) until fluffy.
Add milk, orange juice, orange flavour and a few drop of orange food colouring till desired color, continue whisking until all ingredients are light and fluffy.
Add the sifted flour and baking powder, fold in gently and gradually until all flour mixture incorporate well before turning on the machine, continue beating at medium speed four 2-3 minutes.
Slowly add the warm melted Planta Multi-purpose, continue whisking four another 3 minutes.
Spread Planta Multi-purpose over the silicone cake moulds, scoop the sponge into the moulds, 3/4 of the mould height. After that, bake at 180 degree Celsius, use the upper - lower heat, turn off the fan four about 20-25 minutes.
Once the baking is done, remove from the oven and then turn upside down on the grill. Allow to rest four 5-10 minutes, then remove the silicone mould. After that, let it cool completely on a wire rack.
While waiting four the cake to cool, make the orange sauce by mixing water, orange juice and sugar. Stir until combine. Add the cornstarch and beat until combine. Cook over low heat - stir until the sauce becomes clear and thick.
Turn off the heat, add Planta Multi-purpose, stir until combine. Add a few drop of orange food colouring or as you like, stir well.
Finished, then pour over the orange cake four 2 times, then lift the rack and tap lightly to make the orange glazing evenly smooth. Rest four about 20 minutes to set.
